Dear Guitar Hero,
I've ... started seeing someone else. I mean, I still really, really like you, but I feel like my whole world's opened up with this other person. Please don't cry, it's not you, it's me. I just need more out of life. And it's not like we won't still be friends.
And I'll put my hands on you from time to time, maybe (probably) drunk more often than not, but it's better than nothing, right? It's not like I'm gonna give you to some poor kid who's greasy little hands will abuse you until you're just the shell of the beauty you are now. Right?
Right?

A Sober Robot is a Sad Robot.
Finally got my hands on my photo with Bender at Comicon. Appropriately blurry, as the contents of my "orange juice" bottle were about 15% OJ, 85% vodka. Comicon is not made for sober normal people. Either you need to be a full-on nerd or drunk. I tend to go with Option B as that place is crazy-making. I just love that they don't search anyone's bags, so you can bring in as much booze as you want. THAT is AWESOME.

I beat the Devil!!!!
On Medium, anyway. But DAMN it was a bitch and a half.
Then I discovered that the only way to unlock some of the dumb songs it to play on co-op so I cheated and unlocked them anyway. Yay me! Now I can play Sabotage!!!

Back to the mAc-cave
So the wife is out of town this weekend and I'm about at my breaking point with work, so as of 5:30 on Friday, I just...stopped.
I called up Dominos, cracked a bottle of wine, slapped in a shitty movie and proceeded to do nothing. And today I still do nothing. In fact, the delivery guy just showed up with my next two meals. And now I'm going to watch more bad movies. I'll have to do some inbox maintenance later and maybe some invoicing, but other then that, I'm done. I may even just do all of that tomorrow morning. I haven't decided yet. I'm really enjoying doing sweet FA.
Flashback: 1990
I had a very odd week last week. Working in PR, we tend to do some work with film talent on a fairly regular basis, be it stars, directors, producers, etc. and I don't usually geek out too much as I've been in and around it for close to 10 years now. Last week was a bizarre one though. I had interviews set up with the following individuals:
Mädchen Amick, John Ratzenberger and Victoria Jackson. Now, aside from Mädchen (who I've had a crush on since she first served a slice of cherry pie in Twin Peaks) I wouldn't have necessarily included the other two on my "must-meet" list, but together, it made this weird combination from the peak of their careers. It was 1990, I was in High School and part of my weekly primetime ritual was Twin Peaks, Saturday Night Live and Cheers (on the dying end of that one, as it was a family tradition for quite some time).
17 years ago, bumbling through a miserable 4 years of what was to the be revelation that school was NOT for me, who would of thought I would be talking to/working with the same people I was watching on TV?! So odd, indeed. All 3 were total sweethearts, of course.
Stupid wind!!!!
OK, to be fair, the vicious wind storms we had a week or two ago did a lot of damage and caused the fires to spread out of control all over SoCal. But I have my own personal grudge:
I really LIKED that umbrella. Now it's all snapped clean in half. Granted, as I'm currently operating on a lower-level brain capacity, I didn't think to close it after it totally knocked my other umbrella down, but still...
